Point Removers Home Study Traffic School FAQ

 Q. How do I sign up for this program?
A. To sign up either call our toll free number (800) 900-0095 or our local number (415) 564-5008 or you can fill out and submit our online form (click the “registration” link). Be ready with your driver’s license and any court information pertaining to your citation

 Q. What information do I need to give you from the court?
A. We need to know the county you received the citation in (e.g. “The Superior Court of _________”), the case or docket number and your assigned “due date” for completing traffic school. The case or docket number is NOT the same as your “violation number.” Your “violation number” is a description of the traffic infraction you are accused of committing. Your case or docket number is a unique number assigned to that particular violation and is used to track your activity in regards to it.

 Q. Is there any other information I need to give you?

A. We will also need your full name, mailing address, daytime phone number, date of birth, drivers license number. All of this information is confidential and will be kept for only three years. At Point Removers Home Study Traffic School we take every precaution to protect your information.

 Q. How much will this cost me?
A. The total cost for this program is $34.99. This includes shipping, handling, processing and any other fees you may encounter with another program. We have no hidden fees and all taxes are included

 Q. How do I pay for the program?

A. Currently we are only accepting all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), personal checks and money orders. Checks and money orders can be made payable to “Point Removers Home Study Traffic School” and must be received before your package can be sent out.

 Q. What can I expect from this program?
A. Once you have signed up and paid for this program you will be mailed a package via USPS priority mail. All packages have a tracking number available upon request. A package consists of one page of instructions, one test (with forty multiple choice questions), the manual “The Common Sense of Driving” and your printed receipt for the program. Once you receive your package it will be up to you to study the given material and complete the test in a timely manner.

 Q. What do I do when I finish the test?
A. Once you have completed your test and you feel confident with your answers than you can submit just your answer sheet (top page of the test) to our testing center (NIC, located in Oakland). The quickest way to get your answers reviewed is to fax the answer sheet, however you can also send it through the mail.

 Q. How will the court know when I have successfully completed the program?
A. Once the testing center has reviewed your answers and verified that you have passed the course with an 80% or better (32 out of 40 questions must be correct) than your proof of completing traffic school will be submitted to your court by the testing center. Some counties will be submitted electronically and others will be sent through the mail. A toll free phone number will also be provided in your package to be used to check on the status of your completion. Once you have passed and the court has received evidence of your completion, no other action is required on your behalf.

 Q. What if I fail the test?
A. You will be notified immediately after your test is corrected that you did not answer enough questions correctly to pass. You will than be required to purchase another test ($8) which will be mailed to you the same day we can verify your preferred method of payment (you can use the same form of payment as you used before). You must pass within three tries or you will have to start the program over entirely. NOTE: failure is very uncommon in our program. For the past four years we have seen a failure rate less than 1%!

 Q. What do I do if my due date has passed and I haven’t completed the program?
A. It is your responsibility to complete traffic school in a timely manner and make sure your completion certificate is delivered before your due date. If you are unable to do this and you still wish to complete traffic school as you originally intended, you must go back to the court where you initially agreed to complete traffic school and speak with a representative. You will have to explain the circumstances of your failure to complete traffic school in the given time period and may or may not be allowed additional time to complete it. It is very important that you stay aware of your due date and make sure your test has been submitted at least 4-10 days prior.
